How to Calculate the Right Amount of Siding

To determine the required amount of siding, use the appropriate multiplier based on profile width:

For 10” boards:

• Multiply total square footage by 1.20 to calculate required linear footage (Lft).

For 2” battens:

• Multiply total square footage by 0.40 to determine required linear footage (Lft).

Example Calculation:

• If your project requires 350 sq. ft., multiply:
  • 350 × 1.20 = 420 Lft (for boards)
  • 350 × 0.40 = 140 Lft (for battens)
